Default um, do i need it?

Im planning on getting 4.10s within a couple weeks and having them installed, and my question is do i need to buy a hand-held/speedcal to correct the speedo, or will the shop have one? I've only got around 1500 right now to work with for mods, and if i dont need to spend an extra 400 on a tuner, it would be great... I plan to eventually get one, but i dont wanna lose half my money right now to gears.

you will at least need a speed calspeedcal

not sure but the dealership might be able to change it , but probly just easier for the speed cal or tuner

speed cal is only about $100...and a shop couldnt let you "use theirs" or whatever..tuners are bonded to the VIN i believe. and speedcals have to be installed on the car.

you would need one of those two...unless you got a custom tune for your car when you got them installed...then maybe they could correct it that way...but im not sure. (thats expensive anyways)

Yes, you will want something to correct the speedo.. The mph will be off as well as your mileage will rack up faster without it being correct. And if your 04 is a 5spd, then yes, you can just get a SpeedCal, but if you have an auto, then you have to get a tuner.
