Default "day" at the track

Well here is the story for you all. I decided to take my car to the local "track" which is really a small airport during the week and a drag strip on the weekend. Anyway, it looked like a great day but I only got one run in before a minute long rainfall closed the track.... dang. Well I raced a stock 5spd 01 GT and if you look on the attachment I won by a good amount. But my time was a 15.398. That sounds terrible right, but here in El Paso we have terrible weather and are at a high alttitude. Cars here are ussually about a second slower than anywhere else. Do you think 15.3 is o.k. considering that a stock 01 GT runs 16s and most LS1 run high 14s here.

LS1's run high 14's yikes! If altitude is the problem...then I guess that would be "ok"

What was your 60'?

Considering your alititude, and that the hudmity was probably off the scale if it rained right afterwards, not to mention they probably do jack for track prep, you did ok.

Yeah, like i said this is really not a true drag strip so there is not much track prep and they only time your ET no 60ft or reaction time or anything.
