I had this same problem. No matter how much I would bleed them, the pedal would sink right to the floor and the engine would start to struggle. I ended up rolling it back in my driveway slowly and hitting the brakes to be sure I had stopping power, then going for a short (like 2 minutes, no faster than 35) drive, with light braking, as I drove the pedal improved. When I got back, I bled them all again, got a tiny bit more air out that was not coming out before, and all is fine now.

I didn't have a whole lot of time. I did do some more bleeding w/ car running, and got some more air out. They seem to be getting a little better. I'll see tomorrow. I did call 2 different Ford delearships and both said that because of ABS system it had to be bled by their computer. I realize they want me in their to get my money, but has anyone else heard this? It is driving me crazy though, I want to drive my car so bad its killin' me. I buy a Saleen and drive it for two weeks and decide to powder coat the calipers and put d/s rotors on... I wish I would have waited now. Even though it does look pretty sweet. I'll post pics when done. thanks

I got them bleed and they are like new again... thanks god.. A piece of advice for anyone removing calipers for whatever reason, get 4 vice grips so you can clamp the line at all 4 calipers. This I believe would make the bleeding process MUCH EASIER.. I got it done though. I'll post pics as soon as I get a chance. thanks for everyones help especially you tac2cul. Your right on about having to bleed w/ car running.

How do you actually bleed the brakes w/ the car running?? Did you have someone else there, or did you rig the pedal to stay down??

I've never bled a car's brakes w/ it running.. Wouldn't the brake booster cause some sort of interference??
