Default Lowered car = slow 1/4 mile times??

I lowered my Mustang 2". I didnt run it before, but someone thought if i lowered my car i would get a worse 1/4 mile time, or maybe a better one. Do you think i would do better on stock springs or lowered??

it would be better because the spring rate would be stiffer and your lanuches would be more firm. i have a set of bbk lowering springs on my 88 and i got it into the 12's and it is stock with a few bolt ons and i think that the springs helped me.

No way, I have drop springs on my GT and I cannot go more than 1/4 throttle in first gear without spinning hard.

Try some slicks it will hook then. and yes my times drop when the springs went on. Anybody will spin with street tires on the car. and i am pretty sure that you are not blowing off slicks unless you make un godly HP.

Most cars that make "godly HP's" only lower the front in order to better TRAP.

JL....glad someone sees the light here....my car is lower in the front so it gets the lower look but I use the 4 banger springs that are a lighter rate for good wt. transfer...also that IRS rear is just terrible for racing not bad for a road race car so JL your doing the right thing in dump'in it

only thing a slow car will do is have less wind resist...so using a 4 link system and coil overs, this can take place and have max. traction
