the higher the ratio the more rpms you will run at high miles, switchin to 410 will run around 2800 rpms at 70 mph i beleive, if your city driving its great if your highway driving its a bit more ware and drops your mpg a bit
I rarly drive on the highway.
well then hell go with the 4.30 seems like it would be fun, i went for 4.10 since i will still have to use the eway some, i just got them today, looks like it will be fun installing, even funner when i screw em up and have to reinstall them
Will 4.30 be too low for the highway though?

Gear Calculator. about 2632 rpm at 70 with a t45(96-2001.5), 200rpm less i with the 3650(01.5-04)

And i dont think 4:30's would be to low.

MCanavan6 I went from a 97 Jeep (with typical Jeep mods: lift, bumpers, winch, ect.) to my Mustang a little over a year ago. You'll get hooked on Mustangs quick and the Mod monster will start, just like in Jeeps. You'll also think your Mustang is the fastest thing ever after driving the Jeep, but then you realize it's not that fast, hence more mods. You can see my sig for all the mods I've done so far and these seem to be the norm. Good luck and enjoy your future Mustang. One more thing you will miss your Jeep at times, I know I do.

I hope your a professional mechanic if your doing them alone. They need to be done professinally than tuned with a Diablo or Sct tuner for the speedometer. This isnt your normal bolt on.

I know I'll miss somethings but a leaky Jeep won't be it. I do like the soft top though.

So it seems that the best mod I can do at first is regear to 4.10/4.30? What kind of improvement will I notice? How much faster will it be? Can I expect to get a 0-60 in under 5 seconds?
