gear question (not annoying)

I'm getting my 4.10's soon, I know the gears help your acceleration off the line, but do they help you from a roll? My car's an auto. thanks.

ya they do, the just pul a lot more, i got a tune at the same time so i really feel it whenver i push the gas, with my automatic trans and gears workin together
