hey guys, i got a 99 cobra convertible and i just have a few questions about it. First, it has 19000 miles on it and the stock tires are getting pretty bald, what is a good set of tires that are gonna grip awesome, but not cost a fortune. Second, i was thinking of putting on a CAI and a new exhaust, what do you suggest, and how much of a power increase can i expect with each?

a set of nitto 555R's are what you need, but unfortunately you cant really get a good tire cheap unless you really know someone. expect to spend 500 or more on rubber. anything less is a deal, depending on the tire. with say, a mac or BBK CAI and an SLP catback, you should see about 20 to the wheels.

I agree on the Nitto 555R's. I dont know if you will see 20 to the wheels but maybe close to it since its a cobra.

yea remember it is a DOHC, it comes stock with good heads intake etc...so it will respond well to more air. and the SLP gives the GT 11 or so alone, MM&FF put it on their current GT and got that. so somewhere near twere.

Nittos are OK but go with BFG KD's, or KDW's if you want a good street tire with hook up
