mac
I am about to order a mac o/r H pipe it is not a shorty, would i be able to find a good number of headers to mount directly to the h pipe? I would think so do to the fact that they mount up to your stock headers but i wasnt sure.

RE: mac
With the regular length H pipe, like you said it will match up with the stock headers.
Therefore, yes you can find other headers to match up to your new H-pipe, they would just have to be "shorty" headers. Problem with that is, most of us on here will tell you shorty headers are pretty much worthless. They produce basically no power gains compared to long tube headers. But then again, with long tube headers you need a "shorty" midpipe. So technically you would have to get the long tube headers and the new midpipe at the same time. But to answer your question, yes you can find headers to fit your new midpipe. Just need to be "shorty" headers. |
RE: mac
I think they should make a h-pipe(or x) that could be used with both sets of headers, take off two of the downpipes or whatever and bam...it will bolt up to long tubes...pure brilliance!

RE: mac
doesnt slp's x pipe do that?

RE: mac
ORIGINAL: dsg04gt doesnt slp's x pipe do that? dammit somone already thought of it??? it prob costs like 500 bucks tho! ill make a cheap one... |
RE: mac
no, SLP can switch between catted and o/r

ORIGINAL: monkeydude3 no, SLP can switch between catted and o/r |
RE: mac
which means when you want 2 more horsepower all you gotta do is take out the cats lol, which are high flow anyway
|
RE: mac
you are right monkeydude, but SLP's x pipe can also fit longtubes. all you do is take off the two "down pipes" or w/e and there ya go. so you can go to full length, catted x to a shorty, off road x in a few minutes haha

RE: mac
