It seems like mine takes a while to get to operating temperature. I've watched the temperature gauge on my spousal unit's car when starting cold in the morning. Within the first half mile, her gauge is already reading about halfway to the center. My 04 GT seems to take a lot longer.

Maybe its the size of the car's engine difference. That mey be. Why do you want it to warm up so fast anyways. A cold engine runs a lot better, although you may be freezing your *** off!

Hmm... I always thought an engine at its normal operating temperature was better than one that was still cold. Besides, the sooner it warms up, the sooner I can quit driving easy.

Nope... its always runs better when its cold and when its cold outside. Colder air for the intake and the engine will stay slightly cooler.

for your temp guage to read normal and be blowin hot air at you does take some tme, HOWEVER, your piston and cylinder temp is at normal operating temperature within one minute, closer to 45 sec regardless of the outside temp.and yes your motor runs better cold however you will pass everythin but the gas station.
