Default Difference between SOHC and DOHC?

I was just wondering what the difference is between those, and what my car has. Also if someone could possibly explain what 2V and 4v means as well

TIA!!

you have the SOHC, 4.6L 2V

2V simply means 2 valves per cylinder, one for intake one for exhaust

4V there are 2 intake valves per cylinder and 2 exhaust valves per cylinder

yeah, just tapping the gas you get a nice kick with the new ones

i believe they have variable valve timing too so you get good low end and top end performance
