I think you guys are just substituing too much gear for too little power

I too just had my 3:73's installed and i love them. The acceleration was a big improvment over the stock gears and my 150 mile drive back to school today was great in mpg and rpm's.

Most people, or most people on this forum? I have noticed that all it takes is one person (Dan04Cobra) to say 4.30's are the way to go and everyone apparently needs them to be fast. Why is it that everytime one person says one thing that seems to be tha absolute way to go. Has anyone that says 4.10's are the way to go actually ever had 3.73's because I like them and I think it is a personal choice, not a "you should have gone 4.10's because that is what I like, that is what I have, or that is what I heard"

well i got 373's and i cant complain but 410's are better not just because its a smaller gear but the 4.6's are mid range motors they see most of their power after 3000 rpm. not like the im going to put 3 links on you out of the hole 5.0. its just proven that 4.10's work best for the 4.6. but i like what i got and i dont want a slap wore out motor at 75,000 miles.

shoulda got 5:36's........... j/k. I love the 3:73's but I've always wanted to feel the 4:10's with the stick.
