Loss of backpressure can = loss of torque, but it's usually very minor and you still will pull harder throughout your rpm band.
backpressure is bad man...its possible that he put to big of piping on, and gained back pressure from the loss of exhaust gas velocity

Good points!

Certainly the Flowmasters aren't helping much, but the x-pipe alone will add torque and hp to his application. I'm more than willing to bet the addition of his x-pipe just moved his HP & TQ higher in his RPM band.

Ya, that didn't come out quite the way I meant it....I understand it though. When I put my exhaust c/o on I was very questionable as to how it would effect the car, hence me learning about backpressure. Mistyped post, it happens.

speaking of lt1 exhaust, what the **** is up with 3" man? thats the biggest i can find for my car...
