And gearing all affects the torque put to the ground yall.......

I think we both get the idea we are pushing on eachother.

You're right, it doesn't, because I'm not talking about flywheel, but rather torque application to the asphalt.
You know what i mean, I know what you mean. Freindly, yet evil argument in which both parties are correct, lol.

Dan's right...that's why when you install different rearend gears, the rwhp, & ft-lbs are skewed on the dyno as compared to the pulls with the 3.27 installed. I can see the 302 making more lowend ft-lbs if the 4.6 was a pushrod, Even with higher hp #'s the 4.6 would lack the gunt of the 5.0. But as it is...the modular makes better stock #'s everwhere.

RE: Disappointed in 3:73s
Is your stang a auto or 5spd? I still cannot imagine anyone wanting more than 3.73s in even a lightly modded 5spd. With 3.73s and regular raidals I couldnt even come close to hooking up in first. Even with the DRs I still have a bit of wheelspin near readline. 2nd was a real problem with traction till the DRs, was spinning and then bogging down if I shifted real hard.

RE: Disappointed in 3:73s
What brand DR's do you have?
3.73's = [&:][:'(][:@]
4.10's = [8D]
anytime you regear, a set of DR's should already be starved into the financial equation IMO, cuz they are needed. I stand by what I said. Nothing less than 4.10's on a N/A 4.6L. Anything else...might as well save the $$$, & keep the stock gearing
Just to rattle your cage a little...maybe you don't understand why 4.10's are so much better, because you are also in that "I'M COOL CUZ MY FLOWMASTER EXHAUST DOESN'T GIVE ME ANY HORSEPOWER" crowd[8D]
