Default 3.73 gears

i have a stock 2002 GT and i am trying to get the best bang for my buck but i am about to go off to college and i dont need to be getting 12 miles to the gallon or somethign like that on the highway...how bad would my gas mileage drop if i was to put 3.73's on?

good call jeep.

Most people find there is really no change with from the 3.27 to the 3.73. You will really notice the 4.11's. Best bang for the buck is the 4.10 but if you think 3.73 go a little higher and get 3.90's

I agree with silver. Thats the same thing that the place in Austin Tx who do all my ipgrades told me. And ignore jeep, he's a little temperamental sometimes.

It is always a good idea to check out the old posts though if you've got a general question like that cause chances are people have already asked it. I've got 3.73's that I'm gonna have installed in a few weeks hopefully when I get home for the summer but from what I've heard it's not bad. I'll let you know what I get them in though how it is.

Take it from me listen to these guys if you are going to stay NA go 4:10, cuz 3:73 is no big dif!!!!

3.73's in a Fox Body are equivalent to 4.10's in a 94+ GT.

i am getting 19mpg with my current mods,,but not the same animal as a modular powered car
