I think i had my alternator go out last night on my car, or at least i was told that it had a bad diode, so i took it to the ford house to see what they said cause it was acting really weird and no one in town at all had an alternator for me. So my question being with all my mods, do you think ford will still recognize my warranty or are they gonna screw me royaly ?? Cause i know i have engine mods done but they have to prove that it caused it to go out. Thanx fellas

Probly. They will blame the problem on the UDP`s

Alternator is normal wear and tear, just like your brakes, they will not replace it under warranty

I think it just depends who looks at your car. I took mine in once for a cracked intake manifold under warranty and my nitrous cyliniods were right next to it. but no one said anything. the worst they can say is no then just go some where else.

they're def. gonna go after the pullies. change them out if you can and bring it back.

Ive got a question though..if they put the new alternator on it obviously wont have the alternator pulley from the under drive pullies, so will it be ok to run with the stock pulley that comes with the alternator and the rest of the under drive pulleys or do i need to put the aftermarket alternator pulley back on as soon as i get it back ??

Just tell them to put on the pullie from the old alternator.

no the belt will not fit right, i think itll be too loose.

The UDP's won't cause this problem and if the car is under warranty, its covered, they should replace it without any hassle. Some of their alternators come through without the pulley so they will have to change it any way, good luck.
