Default Beating on the car too much????

4.6 Guys........... How often do you guys go to the track with your stangs? The track has become an addiction for me and i usually go once a week and go to the 1/4th once a month (so one week per month i go twice) this seems like a lot. I usually do between 5-11 runs depending on how good im doing (bracket racing) what do you guys think is this wayyy too much? My car is an 02' GT Auto with 4.10s, exhaust intake etc and i usually Use MT ET streets

When your engine blows up. There is no such thing as too much in this case as long as you have the $$$ to maintain your car properly. JMO also I wouldn't use my dd as a race car, but that's just me.

I don't go to the track and I only drive my car 1-2 days a week.. However, when ever I do get behind the wheel the RPMs never drop below 6 grand.. My DD is an Intrepid so when I get to drive the Stang I like to run her hard to feel the power..

Im giving mine a rest from the track for now. I will just be be the pit crew for another friend for now. Probly run drive his race car down the track once or twice. Some reason I have a feeling that car will scare the crap out of me...lol

As long as you have a second vechicle and have the money for any repairs have fun. Borrowing your parents vechicle isnt fun when you break your car.... did that last month. Was able to rebuild the transmission myself with help. So it wasnt expensive, and didnt have to have it towed or trailered home.

I would only go to the track after I put in some mods to see how they affect the time, or in my case because I'm curious to see what it runs in the first place. I guess you could keep improving your driving skills if you go often, but I doubt it will do any major beating on the car. Most Mustang owners go WOT all the time on the street!

Usually go to the track 4 or 5 times a year and usually get between 2-5 runs each night. Or in another perspective, i have had my 2000 GT for 3 1/2 years and it has been down the strip 33 times. I guess thats not too much. I would say however that now that she is not my daily driver she probably gets beat on more when i actually do drive it.
