Default Exaust Question

if i i was to buy an x-pipe but not new mufflers or anything will i still gain about 20 hp as well as hear a significant difference to?

The claim that most muffler and exhaust manufacturers make about you gaining up to 25 hp is true........on their test car. As for what their test car is, well I saw the Dynomax one at my local dragstrip, it was a '85/86 GT with a 460 that ran 9.50's ALL DAY LONG on 10" tires. Well on that thing if you put dynomax mufflers on (rather than keep the stock muffs), Im sure youd EASILY gain 25hp.
