Why would you put H rated tires when I believe the stock Mustang GT tires are Z rated?? When you get new tires you normally upgrade or get stock, not downgrade....

but the factory gatorbacks suck ***! All that speed rated tires let you do is travel at a high rate of speed for a long period of time. For example with an H rated tire will let you go 130mph saftley for an hour. I belive a zrated tire is rated at 160mph for an hour. Now you have have quick burst of high speeds in any tire but there are very few people that actully need z rated tires. there are tons of h rated tires that are better than z rated tires. SOme brands sell the exact same tires with diffrient speed ratings. The performance is the same the only diffrience is the speed rating

Not completely true. In order for a tire to have a specific rating to begin with they are compounded differently to meet the requirements. Just like anything else in life, there is a cheap way to achieve that rating then there is the correct way. You're right, some Z tires don't seem to perform as well as some H tires but the Z tires are still as good or typically better in their compounds than H rated.
