hey everyone, i have an 04 mach, and im curious how much hp a heads and cam setup would produce. and whats tage heads should i get and who makes them, and what is the nastiest sounding cam i can buy for my baby, im eventually going ati procharger so what would be the best stuff ot get based on the s/c and some opinions on what to get if i dont get a s/c. ok thanks for your opinions everyone

While I cannot help you out with the cam specs, and I assume few people on this board can (its not commonly done on the 4.6 cars), I do know that Power Heads claims up to a 90 RWHP increase with their top of the line setup.

Also, if you could get ahold of last months issue of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords they have an excellent artical (with numbers to call for pricing/questions) of a cam install (and head work I think) in a 99+ GT that was already supercharged.

90rwhp? that seems kinda high, i eman i know that heads and cam for ls1 together is like maybe 90, are these like stage 2 or 3 heads or something?

well unfortunately there is no "cam" for your car. why you ask? well for starters, you have 4 of them. the 4 valve DOHC heads flow very well stock. a good set of cams, if anyone even makes them for machs yet, would run you about a grand at least. i'd go with comp cams or stay stock. i'd just do your exhaust bolt ons, and slap on a procharger or vortech, run 8-10 pis, hit 11's and call it a day.

plenty of people make cams...they will run about 600 for regrinds, or 1600 for new ones

well i am actually going to put on an ati prochager int he summer time, but im not stopping till ther eisnt anything left to do, i want this car completely badass, but i really do want heads and cam though, i want that rediculous rough idle, i want some nast *** cams, plus heads with and ati procharger, that would be a pretty rediculous combination, especially if they were like stage 2 heads

stage 2 port job isnt cheap...just wait to to do cams/port work until you have the blower installed....i was making 460rwhp on my 96 4v with stock heads/cams on 8psi

how much hp do you think y mmach would have with the ati with like 10psi?

with full exhaust, intake, ignition, intercooler and water injection i did 460rwhp...so assuming you did all of that, youde be around 480-490
