I have a good deal on a new Cobra, but I was in search for a Saleen. I can get a new Cobra MUCH cheaper than a new Saleen. But with all that put aside, which, if you had your choice, would you prefer? Just curious on some of you guys' opinions. Thanks!

Save the money by getting a Cobra, put the leftover cash into the Cobra and own the road. lt's yur car but, in my opinion, Cobra all the way!!!

i agree with stanglover, on the fact that the cobra is a better value. so unless the saleen name is a must and cost is no option, the new SVT cobra has more power the the S281 right? isnt the s/c saleen rated @ 350? or did the S281 power go up as well in 03?

The power of the s/c saleen has always been, and still is 365 HP. But yeah, you were in the ballpark, and regardless, the cobra is still much much faster! I agree with you guys. For the money, the cobra is a much better deal. I never paid much attention to it until I talked to one of my friends at a local ford dealership. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the new cobra. I test drove a white one today, and it sure is fast! Not nearly as fast as my Z06 Corvette, but for the money, who can beat it??? I love the cobra. It has everything that a car of even higher value has. It is really a great mustang. And I also tend to like the whine of the supercharger. It's not much of a whine, the radio can easily tune it out, but I love hearing the potential power! Anyways, needless to say, I'm going onvacation this sunday, and when I get back, I'm more than likely going to pick up my newcobra!!!Thank you guys for the posts.

saleen looks 1798634 x better, cmon. and if u want more speed in a saleen go with the 425 hp s281e! besides, chicks dig saleens more than cobras!

i would kill for an 03 cobra! i like the understated look. plus you put the extra money into an 03 cobra that you save buying an s281 e, the cobra would burn the phucker.</P>
