Since your car has stock internals, the wildest you can go are Stage 1 Cams. Anything after that, i.e. stage 2 or 3, forged internals are pretty much a must. The reason is because the the stage 2's and 3's make most of their power in the higher rpms, and you wont get any power out of them unless your revving alot further than 6000 rpms, which cant really be done safely without forged internals. Beware, this route isnt cheap, and you might want to get some more of the basic bolt ons done before you hit the cams.

Valve to piston clearance....you'll need new valve springs for a stage 2 or more...I wouldn't go radical because you'll lose a bit of torque on the low end and you'll need a head job. No not a hand job.lol Port and polish and valve work, maybe a 3-angle valve job. Around $1500 to get all that done with your stock heads, or spend $650 get some stage 1 cams and tube of RTV silicone for the valve covers and call it a day. It'll still give you around 30hp with stock accessories. You won't need to do any valve spring changes or porting. The only thing you'll have to remove are the valve covers to access the camshafts, and the sprockets on the cam ends. Max. 8 hours for a newbie, Good Luck

HOLY SH.t 40hrs. what the hell were you doing?[sm=alcoholic.gif] I did my whole head swap and cam change in less than 10 hours, and that requires the whole dissasemble of the top end. I did my buddy's cams, not the heads, just the cams in less than 4 hours. Maybe I'm a magician, but you need to work on your mechanics skills. lol Hey atleast you learned a few things and didn't have to pay anyone for it![sm=headbang.gif]

Those cams that master has are stage 3 non-PI cams. They are like stage 2.5 pi cams with a little less lift for ptv clearence. They sound badass too. I was just about to get the same ones, but I decided to save a few more $$ and am getting a vortech blower next month. I will still do the cams, but not those with the blower.
