Very shortly (next month or so) I will be purchasing my first Mustang. When looking at the different GTs to decide which ones I like best what should I check out? I will take it to a mechanic but what should I look at first? How many miles should I get?

how much money you looking to spend decides how many miles the car will have.... what body styles you like?????

bud, my advice is to get the color, body, style, and type that attracts you most. My car is was a bone stock GT when I bought it. it was the color, interior, and style I wanted so when I made payments on it i was happy to. Oh and you do have the right to be picky because it's your money.

Make sure you do smart shopping. Check out your local area, autotrader, ebaymotors and anywhere else. I ended up getting my car on eBay at a great price and it was exactly what I wanted. As far as miles go it just depends on how you want to use the car and how much your gonna spend. I was looking for a Mustang with under 50k and I ended up getting mine when it only had 25k on it. Runs brand new still

Looking to spend less than $10,000. Coupe is the only body style, manual transmission, color doesn't really matter, dark interior.

get one with the pi heads and intake i beleave it started in 99

i would stick with those years 99+ will save you money coverting later on good luck and hope you enjoy your stang when you get it make sure you do a carfax if you can

By the way, a car with alot of bolt on-s has probably been beaten on. So, your best bet is to buy a car that you KNOW has been maintaned properly, and driven as conservatively as possible.

I will try to find one that is as stock as possible, maybe with 4.10s to save me money later on.
