my luck with parts is royally pissing me off
Well today I installed my C&C plates. Was a pain in the a$$, but I got them in, and everything nice and tight.
Took it for a spin, and I heard a rattling/clunking type noise when I go over bumps... has anyone had this kind of sound with C&C plates??? is it just that you have solid metal there instead of a rubber bushing, so now you hear all the noises the car makes?
So I figured ok maybe it's just because I have performance parts, I'm bound to get more noise.
Then I go to take my g/f home tonight and I hear this clunk/bang when I push the clutch in, and then the pedal gets really low???!?
So I put the piece of crap back in the driveway and take my dad's car to take my g/f home. I come home and jack the car up (this is at about midnight mind you) an take off the inspection plate. Clutch disc, TOB all look hunky dory. I look at the f@cking cable and the two set nuts somehow managed to back out to the very tip of the clutch adjuster, which makes no sense. So i can probably tighten those again, but now when I push the clutch pedal down, I hear three 'clunks' and then I feel pedal pressure?!?! wtf??
I have the UPR clutch cable, firewall adjuster and quadrant.
I'm just so pissed at this car right now, I'm tempted to put the stock clutch cable back in, but of course, my dad threw it out!
I dunno what the rattle is up front and what the clutch is up to, but I can't drive it now. Feels like somethings ready to ****...

RE: my car is royally pissing me off
it like clunks as I push it down...
and how the hell can the two locking adjuster nuts back themselves out on the bottom of the cable where it meets the clutch fork?

fork is fine... I don't really know what the hell is going on
I'm tempted to try and piece my old quadrant/firewall piece back together and put those in and see if it helps, maybe this UPR metal one is not good???
also with the front end rattle, I don't know how putting in C&C plates would make more noise, especially if it's all tight

For anyone with C&C plates installed, did you hear any more suspension noise after adding these parts to the car?
Because now it seems to like I said before rattle going over bumps??? I don't understand this because all the pieces I took off and put back on are now tightened down and snug, and nothing I touched is loose
As for the clutch thing, hopefully it's just an adjustment
