Default HELP?? Doin' something I may regret

I may have to sell the 'Stang. Not sure yet got a couple of things coming. Lowering springs are on their way, two more wheels, and a pending court case all involving the 'Stang are keeping this decision on hold for now. I am thinking about getting a '99-'01 Ford F-250/350 four door 4X4 7.3L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel. Payment would be about the same as it is now. Insurance would drop about $50.00 a month. I would miss the speed but would have more offroad and towing capabilities (obviously). It would get me better fuel mileage. What does everybody think I don't know if I should do it yet.

The diesel trucks do pretty well with a simple chip addition and upgraded intake.

Towing company wrecked the rear bumper, exhaust, and drivers side rocker panel. $1200.00 worth of damage they claim they didn't do. I have eyewitnesses

I would really use a truck. It would get me better mileage (or the same) and I do hunt. I had always used my dads truck but know I don't live at home and need my own.

well than go for it. there will always be mustangs. maybe sometime later you will be in the position to own both, but it sounds like right now a truck will serve you better

I REALLY love my 'Stang though. I still have some time to decide due to all of the things mentioned above but I just wanted everybodies opinion. Hopefully some day I will own both and actually that day is pretty soon. Me and my roommate are starting to build a 351 here pretty quick to drop into an old Fox or something.

why don't you buy a older truck to use for hunting/towing etc? I highly doubt you will acutually see 20~ MPG in your truck. My girlfriends 1500 sierra gets like 18 MPG on highway and almost nothing in town.

But the diesels get better mileage than does the gas motors. I may not see a huge improvement and I know I can get a ton of power out of it. I am going Deer and Elk hunting with my dad and Roommate. We always could just take my Roommates truck (my dad will already be there I have work and school) but I could use 4 doors and no matter what I feel more comfortable driving a big truck as opposed to a car. I still have time to decide. If my insurance goes down or if I start making more money then I would probably keep the 'Stang but if everything stays the same it would be a tough choice.

I know the biggest reget I have is that my G/F didn't just buy a fuel efficent car and then go out and spend 3-4 K on a truck.

After bascially owning a truck for a few years (She lives with me) I can say that it is really nice to have around, but I have not done anything with the truck that a 3K truck would not do.
