Default 02 sensor questions

do these thigns just go out by themselves? or do they need something to cause them to go dead? I got some new mufflers put in, and I had the shop move my xpipe up towards the underside of the car a little bit, and I got an "02 sensor circuit" code a couple days later.

any ideas?

is it possible that I just burned through a wire or somethign?

btw, I have a BBK catted X and magnaflows welded into an old catback.

ehh, nevermind, I guess the problem decided to go away on it's own. lucky me, I have an intemittent problem!

I guess if anyone knows the answer, might as well post them anyway, knowledge is everything, right? right?
