Default Loud clutch

I just bought my 2001 GT and the clutch seems loud. But my bro told me his sounds like that in his WRX too. I was told the clutch is new in it.

[b] Well I guess the best way to describe it would be to say that it sounds like I can hear the clutch working or something. Not quite a clunk, but almost a grinding type sound..

when?

whenever the clutch is held down?

or is it as you release the clutch to accelerate from a stop?

Just when I am shifting.. If I hold it down the sound goes away.. But right as I release the clutch it does it.

how many miles on the car?

does it happen as you accelerate from a stop while the clutch is briefly slipping?

53000 miles.. Clutch was installed under warranty about 15,000 miles ago. It does it more like briefly slipping, but it shifts great and the clutch lets out nice.. Just a hard noise to describe.

I know exactly what your talking about, mine is the same, and its not a grind... it is the clutch engaging and it is the coolest sound in the world and everyone that can hear it is intimidated... nothing to worry about.
