I bet for that money you could just find a nice, clean '69/'70 fastback with a 351C in it. That would respond A LOT better to mods than the new ones.

I like the 96-98 cobra idea the best, unless its going to be a daily driver. In that case get a lower milage 99-04 gt.

the car is going to be a daily driver. i think i will stay away from a cobra, the insurance on a GT is high enough. thanks for all your input. and a 69/70 fastback would be awesome but it would be hard to find one in good shape. but i love the looks of those.

You'll find like an 00-02 gt with under 50k on the clock for around 12k, I'd suggest getting one of those. I think the bullits may be out of your price range. I wouldn't mod a bullit anyways.
that is WAY high,,, i bought a 99 2 years ago for 9500 with only 48K

if he looks around hard enough, and doesnt rush into anything,, there are 99-01's out there in the 40's and 50's still for right around 10K or so

just be patient, dont rush into a poor decision
