Default oil burning

If i have good compression all the way around, then wouldnt it mean my burning oil is coming from valve seals?

Default RE: oil burning

Valve stem seals that leak will cause oil burning ONLY at startup. So if youre getting blue smoke all the time, its probably your rings.

1 quart of oil every 50 miles. Problem = bent valves (too many rpms on stockers). Rings/cylinders = perfect.
