Default 3.73 OR 4.10'S

I AM THINKING ABOUT BUYING A SET OF REAR GEARS. I CAN'T DECIDE BETWEEN 3.73 OR 4.10'S. I AM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS.

Want all motor? 4.10's
Want FI or Nitrous? 3.73's

Try searching now and again, eh?

3.73 add 5% more force to road in 1st gear.

4.10 add 15% more force in first.

I'd recommend going with tallest gear possible, matched with sticky DR's to keep your traction

What about when he decides to slap a screw type blower on it? (if he did, this is metaphorically speaking)

Traction will NOT be a word in his dictionary.

I would go with this:

4.30 if you wanna have maximum acceleration and not planning to set up blower, charger, Nitro
4.10 if you wanna ride your car and not planning to set up blower, charger, Nitro
3.73 if you wanna install a blower, charger or nitro.

You can always install 4.10's now and install taller tires when the blower arrives....

Everyone says 4.10's + Blower = NO TRACTION. I guess not even Drag radials can help. I wouldn't know to be honest because I'm just buying 3.73's. I dream of turbo'ing this pony.

good point about blower and traction.

but I remember seeing a recent article in MM&FF bout a procharger vs kennebell shootout with the new stang. both of those guys had 4.10's in the rear. but they may have been running full slicks too. not sure.
