good news, but now I'm confused!!!
I just found out today as of August 1st I'm being promoted at work with a nice little raise, followed by a nicer raise the following year. I could buy an 03/04 cobra in the market of 24k if I get rid of the 99 GT vert. But I'm torn on what to do. I have alot of plans for the GT including a forged dss block capable of 1500hp, obviously a new tranny and I just put some money down on a 81mm turbo last week. Everything could be canceled with minimal finances lost, but I'm not sure. What do you think I should do?

Get the Cobra. Those cars are so fast stock and they have the potential to be extremely fast. 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds, 0-100 in about 10.4 seconds 1/4 mile in 12.9 seconds @ 111 mph, top speed of 155 mph. Get it!

It sounds like that gt was going to be a project car. I think it would be fun to work on that, but cobras are nice. It's up to you man. Personally, I hate boats. Go with a car!

Put the Turbo on the Cobra. That would be sweet.

well eventually, but if I buy the cobra serious mods are outta the question for probably a good year.

If you want to stay in a Ford, go with an 03/04 Cobra.
GT's and Mach 1's share similar engine internals, both are limited around 450hp and both have the very HP unhappy 3650 tranny.
Save your money and go with the Cobra. You can do a 3.10 pulley swap for about $210 total if you shop around, won't require a tune and you'll easily get your car over the 400RWHP mark with that alone. Cat-back and such are all relatively affordable and will add satisfying amounts of HP...
I have a KB 2.4 that I'm debating about using or not. I'm thinking of doing a different pulley setup than what I have now & calling it a day. I barely drive the car and don't have any intentions of turning it into a track car, so I don't really want the 600+ HP I wanted 2 or 3 months ago. It's fast enough for a cruiser, I'll only hurt my insurance premium or myself with more HP on the street.
