99' GT Best Mods 4 Money???
I just got my 99' Mustang GT and I was wondering what the best bang for your bucks mods were???? Also was wondering what people thought about SLP loudmouth exhausts?? Is it worth the money or are Flowmaster 40 series nice enough??? I was thinking of taking the cats off and getting offroad H or X pipe and throwing the 40 series on. I want to get some Chrome Cobra rims and throw some tires on, what rims size and tire size should I get????

GEARS!!!! if your stang is your daily driver go 3.73's....if it's not go 4.10s...also if you want it to be really loud go SLP LM's...and if you jsut want a nice aggresive tone id say flowmasters or magnaflow...id say get 17 inch rims...with 275 series tires...it would look sweet.

RE: 99' GT Best Mods 4 Money???
you definately = newbie
just because you asked like 4 things there..lol..
lets see what we can help you with:
1. Best Bang for Buck
...A. 90% of people will say that your rear-end gears (going to a lower [numerically higher]) ratio will be your best money mod....there are about 345,453 threads already, go search, if you still have questions, ask
...B. the other 10% will tell you that for big numbers, aside from a more exspensice S/C and such, that a 100 shot of nitrous and a safe tune will be your best/cheapest shot at 12's in the quarter mile...again, look around, that one might take some outside sources though..good luck if youre interested there.
2. Exhaust
...A. Loudmouths I & II...99% of people who get LM I's are pleased with them, they're becomming/became very popular pretty quickly because of their volume...as did LM II's, because of volume and tone...there are about a gazillion exhaust threads.
3. Wheels/Tires
...A. this is all preference just like exhaust..but i will give you my $.02
regardless of what kind you go with.. i would do 17x10.5 rims in back, with 315/35/17 tires...up front, look into either 17x8's if available or 17x9's...as for tires, if you can get the 17x8's, stay with stock 245/45/17 in front to do two things. 1. make the rear look larger, 2. less rolling resistance, 3. they'll be cheaper than 275/40/17...well, that was 3 thigns,, but you get the idea
like i said (and others are to follow) just look around, learn what you can from already existing threads and then feel more than free to ask all the questions you want
good luck and welcome to the forums man

You have a high compression motor so a s/c or turbo would cost you way to mutch to put in safely. You need nitrous. If you have high compression, go with nos, if you have low compression, go with s/c or turbo. That and gears will be the best bang for your buck.
