my old car had tar and alot of it.... the goo gone and bug/tar remover just wasnt working... my dad said to try WD40 and it worked, WD40 is basicly oil so it cleans off easily once you get the **** off your car

I have always used WD 40 It wont effect the paint however I wouldn't recomend leaving it on over night. use your better judgment you'll be happy with the results

I have never tried it, so I can't verify that it works or is even safe. That being said, my father-in-law is an old body man (he ran his own body shop) and he says that windex will remove tar and I have seen him use it often even on his new cars. As I said, try at own risk.

I know it sounds weird.. i didnt believe it at first either, but my dad showed me. Take a towel and dunk it in gasoline and the tar comes right off when you wipe it. i was scared it would mess up my paintjob or something, but i went for it and ive never seen tar disappear so quickly before. After i did this i washed my car just because i didnt want the smell around, and it needed a wash anyways.

mineral spirits works perfectly, or you can also wax it.
