Default WHY

Have a 2002 GT sounds like rear end is making a howling noise when going around turns. also feels like its grabbing, but no problems in straight line on the road. Is this just my positive traction making noise; or could it be something real major.

Usually it just takes a gear lube change and ADDING a bottle of Friction Modifier from Ford, good luck.

It depends. Is it the stock limited slip rear end or has it been replaced with a true positrack rear? If you have the positrack rear, yeah, it's going to make noise and grab on turns.

I know I'm going to sound like an ******* for this but..

Fords don't come w/ Posi-track.. GM's do...

You may want to check your axle bearings and seals.. Check your fluid level, it may be low, and when you go through a series of turns, the fluid could be drawing to one end of the axle..

If all is good there, inspect the spider gears, and ring/pinion gear mating surfaces for abnormal wear or burrs...

Yes, but the term "Posi-Trac," is exclusively GM...

Our rear-differentials come w/ Limited Slip Center Sections.... Traction-Loc is the Ford Brand..
