if he wants volume with great tone, then look into LM II's since you are interested in SLP set ups..

ive heard nothing but good things about the LM II's, where as with LM I's, i know 'some' peopel dont like the sound of LM I's with an o/r midpipe

Magnaflows are actually more money, don't quote me because I haven't checked in a while, but I think the catback system is like $100 more or so.

But if you are torn between the two thats really hard because like I said and others have said, they are SOOO different from one another. LM1's don't even compare to Magnaflows, not even on the same planet. Once again though...

If you want a great sounding tone, which is VERY quiet ---> Magnaflows.

If you want a great sounding tone, which is LOUDER ---> LM1's or even LM2's.

You really have to hear the difference, the loudmouths are not going to be that loud with a stock exhaust, its just that the Magnaflows are VERY quiet with a stock exhaust. Its so hard for us to explain the different for you.
I have to say that I have never had anyone call my exhaust "quiet". I didn't have the magnas on when I still had the stock midpipe/headers, so I cannot tell about that, but the car borders on extremely loud at WOT.

Heh, YOUR car is NOT quiet, lol. But like you said, your car wasn't stock with them on. I had Magnaflows on stock mid and headers and Im telling you there were points in time where I had to rev my engine at idle to make sure the car didn't turn off. Definitely quieter at idle than stock.

At WOT, it gave a nice "little" growl to the car, and Im not saying it didnt sound GOOD, because it was unique and it did sound good. Im just saying, Magnaflows without Headers and a midpipe are going to be very very quiet.

SLP is awesome, ive had a trans am and now i have a GT it is low when you want it and loud when you want it. It kicks ***. If you see a PIG on the road stick it in neutral and it will be silent.

Yea exactly correct. Yes Loudmouths are much much louder "consistantly" than any other type of exhaust, but he nailed it on the head. They are a nice deep tone in the low RPMs where it needs to be, and its only very very loud when you want it to be. If you want it to be quiet you can shift at 3k and its fine.

If you want to attract the cops, RIP IT in 2nd gear to about 5.5K and that thing SCREAMS. Especially my setup, lol.
