easiest way would be a PI h/c/i swap...that with the added compression usually will put you over a 99-04 hp numbers. Add some Long Tubes/mid-pipe and aftermarket cams and your knocking on 290rwhp territory.

Well if you didn't buy the '98 yet, don't, a '99 will be a few bucks more but it already has like 70 HP advantage and it would take a LOT of bolt on mods to gain that much, except maybe nitrous or a blower, good luck.

there's a 35 hp difference. mainly the heads/cams/intake.

You gain close to nothing with a NPI setup, but plenty with a PI one.

i will admit 96-97 (215) 98 (225) are not that great , however im not going to complain because i inhereted my car. in the current issue of MMFF there working on a 96gt and its responding real well too boost, to beat a 99+ GT from a dig ....tires gears and exhuast IMO
