Default getting a 98gt to keep up w/newedge

what does it take for a 98gt 5spd to keep up with a 99+ gt (beside the good driver stuff)

pi head swap or 75-100 shot of nitrous or a supercharger along with the normal bolt ons.

HOly crap they are that dam slow! i was just thinking pipes, headers, intake, cam. maybe some 373's

you don't need that much lol. the head swap obviously, bolt ons, a nice tune and it will be close

u dont need nitrous or a supercharger to keep up with a 99-04 mustang if u haev a 94-98 that guys a moron lol.

getting a pi head swap would make your car basically the same as the 99+. but normal bolt ons and some gears and you should beat the 99+ gt's

put a pi motor in there for about 2500$ total (used pi motors are fairly cheap+ labor should be less than 1500), then do some gears and youre set. a tune for the new motor would be great too.

I think you are gonna need a really steep gearset to put away the average stock 99-04 GT. I am thinking maybe 4.30s and a very sticky tire.

Hell, MM&FF did that 96 GT. Even with a full exhaust and all the intake boltons they still only made like 215 or so WHP, and that was with a weaker curve (less TQ, falling off hard up top) than a stock PI car.

The stock NPI stuff just really really sucks performance wise. A 190 WHP V8???
