Default Gt Hoodscoop

I want to make my 02 Gt hoodscoop functional, can i do it stock or do i have to get the mach 1 hood, and is the mach 1 hood compatible with the Gt? thanks

You probably could make the stock hood scoop functional, but it's probably not worth the trouble. And by the way, just because you drill a hole in it, doesn't mean it's functional. If you want a functional hood scoop, get the mach1 shaker kit, I think it runs about $700, yes it's compatible with a GT.

hey, what if you drill two holes! Seriously, I'd just go for the Shaker if you want it, but my advice would be to put that money elsewhere. There are many other 'better' bang for the $$$ out there.

It kinda depends on how much money you want to spend. Theres a kit you can buy that adds onto your GT hood and makes a functional working scoop. That as some have said is somewhere around $600-700. Or you could buy the Mach 1 system with a Mach 1 hood to go with it. That's more money but I love the way the Mach 1 hood looks myself. If your looking for style, then thats a good start, but if your looking for performance, theres other options that are cheaper to go... but its car, so do what you think you're gonna like on it
