I seeing people actually cut their springs, I don't know how safe or effective that might be but I personally wouldn't try it - get new shorter springs and make sure to change your shokes, I f***** my shokes because I lowered my car just by changing springs, careful.

Don't do any cheap modifications like that.

You can have the springs cut, won't hurt anything other than your handling. My friend cut his lowering springs and he has absolutely NO suspension travel and regret's it.

If you don't mind spending money, you can put tires that aren't the recommended width for your wheel size on. IE, if you have a 17x8 wheel, 245's would be the width you'd prefer, 235's or anything smaller would give you a much much smaller sidewall. Look's kinda tacky if you ask me..

u don't want to cut ur springs...it makes for a really rough ride...this guy i used to know bought an older stang (forgot the year) and he said they put some sort of clamp on the springs to lower it...but that also makes a rough ride...i would just put up the money and do it the right way...but that's me
