Gear question for an 04 Cobra
I'm still a little new at this, but for an 04 Cobra... they come stock with 3.55 gears I think. I've heard that the 4.10 gears are really good and lots of people recommend them. I talked to a guy that has an 03 Cobra with still the stock gears, and he said that sometimes he has a hard time getting the power down to the rear wheels. I was wondering if 4.10's would be too much if you did a few modifications like CAI, pulley, exhaust, etc.?

The gears in the terminators are good for alot of power. You wont be able to get full boost out the car for the gear, and will run out before you finish making power.

actually....its pretty crazy to go with 4.10's on a terminator unless your gonna make your car a drag racer only.
the stock 3.55 are all you need, the only reason peaple go with 4.10's is to make up for low end torqe deficetes. but low end torqe is not a problem for the terminators.
You will reduce top speed and you will be shifting much faster as with more gear you will hit redline alot sooner. so that may actually make you go slower, becouse of the time it takes to shift.
Plus you can say goodbye to gass mialage.
at most go with 3.73's
but stay with the stock 3.55's you can get better performance with a blower pully and a tune with a CAI. plus intaling a gear cost mucho denaro.

They won't make you go slower. Have half a clue how to drive and it'll be worth all the money.
You will have to work with the IRS and some tires to make any use of the gears. Unless you like to make a lot of 160+MPH runs in your 03/04 Cobra, you won't have to worry about losing a couple MPH off your top-speed.
You say goodbye to gas mileage when you get a stock Terminator to begin with.
I could barely understand some of the stuff you said in your post....

I guess it comes down to preference. For me the 3.55 is a perfect gear for the 03-04 Cobra. I changed the pulley on mine to provide the low RPM torque. The shifts come very quick even with the 3.55, I could not imagine how fast they would come with a lower ratio.

What? Says who? A LOT of people switch to a solid read and go with 3.73 or 4.10's. Where did you come up with that crazy idea?
