Jacksonville is not too far from Modular Powerhouse in Georgia...Tim is one of the best around with modulars.

Then you have Boss330Racing down by West Palm area..He is very good. And Steeda is in Pompano...

Get some LT headers before you dive into the heads.

You are talking big $ here. You will also need a shortblock to take real advantage of the potential of the new heads/cams, and a intake would not be a bad idea either.

As you can probably see, this is one of those areas where it keeps getting more and more expensive unless you don't do it right. And if you don't do it right, your wasting your money anyway.

it is a project as is any build. it is a daily driver also. i am getting headers soon. i have cats on the x and am going w/ ceramic coated shorties. in the future i want to go with st2 heads and st2 cams or possibly a stroker kit. i want to do the h&c's at the same time. not an expert by any means but addicted to h/p. i was going to do cams 1st and do heads later but am weighing my opions. cams are def comming in the near future. just wanted to know what i was looking at for total for both, installed. i do most of the work myself but the internals will have to be professional w/tune.

Shorties are a waste of time and $$$.

+1, if you cannot do LTs, just don't bother.

BTW, you will definatly need a shortblock with your proposed heads/cam package. And I would not do a base stage 2 cam with stage 2 heads, as funny as that sounds. A custom grind between a 2 and 3 would net you the best whp.

But you wild definatly need a new shortblock to make the most out of your H/C combo.

If your on any sort of budget, and your "addicted to horsepower", just go FI and have some fun.

i would like to do forced induction after some internal work on the stock engine. the engine is strong. i have an x w/cats. i can't get LT's and keep the same mid pipe. i would have to get a shorty pipe, right? i like the sound of the catted x w/ fm's anyways. shorties will add some extra horses but i need headers for st 2 cams from what i understand. btw, i made 257.2 rwhp & 294.4 before the accufab combo.
