Before i swapped my 2v npi for my cobra motor, it was burning oil at start up and idle for like a year and a half, and my motor had 130k on it, it didnt worsen or do anytihng but burn a bit of oil, more embarrissing than anything

Sounds like piston rings to me. How many miles has it covered ?

Valve stem oil seals tend cause exhaust smoke when you off the throttle on over-run in my experience.

You need a get a leak down test performed. In this test the cylinder is pressurised with compressed air then the time it takes for the cylinder to return to a certain pressure is measured. I don't know what the leak rate value should be on a Mustang by the tech doing the job should.

A compression test is not very informative because even worn rings will still pump up the pressure in the cylinder.
