Go to a Ford dealership to get it inspected, you can always trust them even if they charge more money than other places. Don't completely trust the carfax, if the accident was not reported to the insurance it would not be listed. Instead, take a good look at the exterior of the car. More specifically, make sure the body lines line up correctly. Also, look for any kind of sign of work done to the body, such as excessive orange peel, and when you look at the body from certain angles you can see "hidden" dents. Good luck, hope my advice helps.

+1 especially where the keyholes are on the driver's and passenger's door because of the new key set (if she were wrecked) and bondo and such
