Default Am I damaging my transmission?

I had my 3.73's put in about six months ago and I never had the speedometer corrected. I know that I am racking up miles faster, but I'm not too worried about that. I am planning on buying a handheld when I get an o/r x so that at that moment I can turn off the cel and adjust the speedometer. But I read somewhere that not correcting the speedometer might damage the transmission. Is this true, and if so, how is it damaging it? Thanks in advance...

no??? all it does is read MPH wrong and calculate the wrong milage.

The only 'damage' you do to anything is a slight increase in overall wear because they are turning at a higher average rpm
