Default ? about cams

i want to upgrade my cams, lifters, springs and rocker arms, what is a good brand to go with, and should i replace the injectors too? and does that increase horsepower?

I can't give you advice on brands. As far as the injectors go, you only need to upgrade them to a larger size if they can't provide enough fuel. With the normal bolt-on mods you don't need to upgrade the injectors. I'm not sure about cams. I think you only need to worry about upgrading injectors when you add a blower or nitrous. I'm sure some others who know alot more than me will respond as well.
Also if you change injectors to a larger size, I think you have to have your MAF sensor calibrated to match. The larger injectors will flow more fuel for a given pulsewidth (injector open) cycle. This pulse width is controlled by the ECN and one of its inputs to control pulse width is the MAF sensor. I think this calibration is done at the MAF sensor and not the ECM, put I'm not 100% sure.

SHM makes some good cams for a 4.6 engine. They can also answer all your questions about what you need to upgrade. Just shoot them an email. Comp Cams also makes some cams, and I think Crane makes cams for a 4.6 also.

there are finally several companies out there that are doing cams for the foursix. comp cams has some new grinds out too.

i found comp cams street/strip at racenet performance for $524.95 , $200 cheaper than comp cams website the springs are $180 and $130 for intake valves and $130 for exhaust valves.

i have a 99 gt with k & n c.a.i. accufab tb and intake plennum, port polsh heads, frpp headers, bassani x-pipes, magnaflow cat back, frpp 4.10's, hypertech power programer.

my buddy has 2001 ss and i had him by a half a car, i hope this next upgrade puts me well ahead of him
