Yea didn't notice you had a S/C either. You really need to get the engine breathing better... Its pretty much LTs or none [:@]

Im from Chicago too, I live in the city - not the burbs. I have H&R Sports, so Im dropped 1.6 inches up front compared to your Pro-Kit at 1.5 inches. I have Longtubes and have never scraped them, not once. I drive my car back and forth to work everyday, I just keep a close eye on the roads and take any bumps with caution. I also go over speed bumps all the time, and have had no problems. I take them VERY slow or at an angle and Im fine.

That being said, go with Longtubes - I love the deep sound they added to my current exhaust setup. And if you want I can get you some info on where to get them installed cheaper then that. I have had two different sets of Longtubes and had them installed for $200 bucks, the second time I swapped my MAC's for BBK's and just gave my installer my MAC's and didnt pay a thing. The guy I know works on Mustangs out of Janesville in Wisconsin, its the first city as you hit the Wisconsin border off I-90 - about an hour drive from Chicago. He does great work and has installed many of my parts for great prices. He has a 2004 GT himself. Im not sure if he will still do $200 but I know he will do it for under or at $300. He also stands by his work, he will make sure your car leaves the shop with no leaks. And if you end up with one, he will get it fixed for you no problem at no extra charge.

Have you heard of CMC? (Chicagoland Mustang Club). If not you should check us out, great group of people and a bunch who are willing to help with any questions you may have. We have Meets all the time, such as Downtown Cruises and Track days. We average about 40-60 cars a Meet if not more. Thats where I met the guy who did my Longtube install, he has now done it for about 5-6 members in the club - everyone goes to him to get it done.

So if you'd like - check out the site and join the forums. My username is the same over there - Blinkstang. If you want more info, PM me over there and I will direct you to the guy I was talking about. He does everything, so any installs you would need he could take care of.

Site Link: CMC Main Page

CMC Forums: Here

Hope to see you over there, if you join - make a post in the Newbies section and mention how you got there so I know who it is.

-Edgar

$350 is a real good price, but how are you scraping so bad already? i think my saleen is ~2" lower than stock gt's, i have longtubes, and i've never scraped ANYTHING.

in all fairness....i've never seen longtubes routed this way on any cars around here. they dont hang down at ALL. i dont remember what brand, BBK rings a bell though? i'll check my receipts.
