Default smell of antifreeze?

I have recently started smelling the sweet smell of antifreeze in my car when driving and after the car is shut off. i get the smell inside my car as well as outside of the car, when i open the hood i see no visible signs of antifreeze leaking. i am using small amounts of antifreeze nothing major but i have no idea where it is going. the oil is fine so its not mixing with that. i see no visible cracks on the original intake manifold and i have no leaks inside the car. any ideas?

you may not see much if the intake has a small crack, it could be leaking and burning off on the intake it happened to me last year. i thought that my heatercore went and the dealership found the crack, luckly i got reembursed my $1250 that i had to pay them. if you have the same problem you should be covered by ford and they should replace it for no charge(they had a recall on some intakes from 96- 98)

well it appears the leak is coming from where the waterneck connects to the manifold, i bought a new thermostat seal and also used some rtv around the waterneck and that pretty much stopped the leak but now i have some coolant very very lil bubbling out from under the washer thats under the screw head that bolts the waterneck to the intake. what could be causing this? by the way i have the intake coming but until i get some cash to have it installed this is going to have to hold.

ONE LAST ADVICE, CHECK YOUR RADIATOR IT MIGHT BE CLOGGED AND SINCE THERE IS NOT ENOGHT COOLANT FLOW EXTRA PRESSURE CAN BE BUILDING UP CAUSING THINGS TO LEAK... HAVE U CAR OVERHEATED AT ALL ???
