4.10 gears with any type of FI is not 'too' much.

Compensate with a taller tire, launch harder and run quicker times.

gears are a personal preference. My friend had 4.10s in his '03 GT and i thought it was a bit much but he loved them. The highway RPM wasnt as bad as i expected. with Nitto Drags, exhaust and the 4.10s he ran 13.5 @ 100 with a 1.8 60' at the top of 3rd and 4th gear the car fell flat on its ***.

Obviously, the 2.73 or 3.23 standard gearsets are too high, but I don't like the idea of the car running out of steam at about 100 mph or so. I'd go with 3.73's as a compromise...

I'm thinking of going with 3.73's too, because down the road I will be going forced induction. What about 3.90's? I never hear anything about those...

Also, how much of a drop in E.T. will 3.73's bring to a relatively stock 02' GT?
