the 96-97 only made 215 hp at the crank and the 98 made 225 hp at the crank. they are extreemly whimpy, had i known with all the time and money spent on this car with all the mods to motor and a lot on the external mods, i would of bought newer or something with more power.

There were some guys on this board a few months ago saying they run up to 12lbs boost. (400hp+). My opinion is that this is pushing it. By the way do you run an intercooler? With an intercooler you can exceed 10lbs. Without I would not dare. I run just in between 9-10lbs on my vortech and i dyno at 344 at the rear wheels. According to Vortech the 4.6 2V can handle 10psi savely.

i am so dissapointed i got my car tuned today and dynoed on a dynojet. to my suprise i had discovered that what i thought to be 8 lbs of boost was realy only 6 lbs of boost. my dyno #s were embarising 231 to the wheels and 300 ft. of torque. i am so PISSED OFF . i have been looking a smaller pulley to replace the 6 lbs, i found a replacement but it is 11 lbs will this destroy my car or what. i was sure that i would of been a lot closer to 300hp. my mods are few i have BBK 75mm throttle body, C&Lplenum, C&L 80mm mafs & diablo sport predator. oh, i almost forgot and a powerdyne supercharger, my exhaust is mostly stock w/flow masters. last year i took off only 2 cats, leaving me with 4 more. i will be changing this soon. so do you think my car will handle 11 lbs of boost and will it destroymy aode trans.

Okay bud, this is what you need to do. The boost a pump is crap, a band aid if you will. Toss it. Get a 225 for the tank, 42 lb injectors. If you didn't change your TB, do it. CAI will also help the hair dryer get more air. Your probably got crappy numbers because the Boostapump makes your stock injectors blow wide open, not good. If your going to keep it, at the very least change the injectors. Don't be too disapointed. If it was easy to get 300+ out of a car, everyone and there brother would do it. and to get the full potential from the sc get headwork done to those crappy heads. after that, some cams and you should be close to your 300. dont do a pi headswap cause you'll raise the compression which is never good for sc applications.

my total curve on the readout is in the elevens right accross the board, my tuner told me that it doesn't get much better than that.. so my boost pump isn't pushing too much gas according to him it is a good mix. i did put a 75mm throttle body on(BBK), C&L plenum & C&L 80mm mafs w/ diablo program. if the mix is reading good sould i still change out the boost pump? i'm definatly changing my pulley i would like a 9 or 10 lb pulley i have only found one for 11 lbs so far.

i would like to port and polish the heads and chage the springs and retainers but it is very exspensive. after all the money that i have spent this year my wife will not be very happy and you know that means headackes for everyone. besides i'm in the middle of buying a bigger house so my plans are on hold for a few months. i dont know anything about cams are they very involved will they be easy to tune?

Umm... either somethings really messed up with your car, or you need to look at your dyno sheet again.
I just had my 98' gt on the dyno yesterday up at GMR in NE Ohio and i made 209.8rwhp and 274.7 rwtq.Alll i have done is basic exhuast, gears, and intake. I know the npi isn't the strongest of the 4.6's, but come on, something isn't right here.
