headlights peeling

Default headlights peeling

My headlight covers on my 96 mustang are peeling, so do i need to replace them asap?

the lense? you can either restore them using some fine fine sand paper and polish them up, or replace them for a couple hundred bucks with cobra assemblies. the cobra headlights are ten times better, the lenses are clear.

You can try a company in Tampa called Clear Again. (813)267-6889. I have not used them but I have been told that they do a good job.

You can find a replacement set on E-bay for like, $70, and that'd be the easiest way to go about it...

Peeling or fading? Anyway, I bought a lense restore kit at Advance Discount Auto Parts, My head lights look brand new now. No joke. The kit was less than 10 bucks, came with a bit that attaches to your drill. The pads are adhesive and attach to the bit, add a little water and buff away. Took every bit of fading and yellow off the lense. Like I said, they look brand new. Well worth $10. I used a low speed because the pads shred pretty easily.

How can I restore my headlight, because a thin coat on the outside of the lense is starting to peel?

mustang_montana said use sand paper... do i take the peeling stuff completely off the lense?
