Cams and S/C

The VT st1NA cam would not be the best cam to have if your going blown in the future. You will lose alot of boost through the exhaust stroke. A few guys do have them but i bet they would pickup another 25-40 hp by switching to VT or Crower blower cams. Now Comp Cams NA cams are actually good for blown or NA. If you look at the specs they aren't far off VT's blower cam specs.
I know a guy who used Crower ST2 Blower cams in his NA application and picked up 30hp.

you are going to lose boost with cams (or headers or p&p heads for that matter). If you are saying that you will lose more with a n/a cam vs a blower cam, i will take your word for it. The vt 1s are a good mild cam for n/a and seem to do pretty well when boosted. I would be curious to run a back to back comparo of a n/a and blower cam of same "stage" and see what the differences are.

When you lose boost from better flowing heads/exhaust etc thats a good thing because your engine is now more efficient and will work better.
When you run a NA Cam on a boosted car you lose boost because the timing is off because of the cam. The exhaust valve will open to quick and waste some of the power the blower is making. Thats why some guys gain as much as 60rwhp when switching to blower cams.

you are slowly talking me into switching, however i think i am getting near the hp limit. I will say that when i did my cams, i thought s/c was waay off in hte future. but again, my car makes alot of power with the n/a cams, and no valve springs needed.
